10.62.1
ये यज्ञेन दक्षिणया समक्ता इन्द्रस्य सख्यमम्र्तत्वमानश |
ye yajñena dakṣiṇayā samaktā indrasya sakhyamamṛtatvamānaśa |
1. YE, who, adorned with guerdon through the sacrifice, have won you Indra's friendship and eternal life,
10.62.2
तेभ्यो भद्रमङगिरसो वो अस्तु परति गर्भ्णीतमानवं सुमेधसः ||
tebhyo bhadramaṅghiraso vo astu prati ghṛbhṇītamānavaṃ sumedhasaḥ ||
Even to you be happiness, Aṅgirases. Welcome the son of Manu, ye who are most wise.
10.62.3
य उदाजन पितरो गोमयं वस्व रतेनाभिन्दन परिवत्सरेवलम |
ya udājan pitaro ghomayaṃ vasv ṛtenābhindan parivatsarevalam |
2 The Fathers, who drave forth the wealth in cattle, have in the year's courses cleft Vala by Eternal Law:
10.62.4
दीर्घायुत्वमङगिरसो वो अस्तु परति गर्भ्णीतमानवं सुमेधसः ||
dīrghāyutvamaṅghiraso vo astu prati ghṛbhṇītamānavaṃ sumedhasaḥ ||
A lengthened life be yours, O ye Aṅgirases. Welcome the son of Manu, ye who are most wise.
10.62.5
य रतेन सूर्यमारोहयन दिव्यप्रथयन पर्थिवीं मातरंवि |
ya ṛtena sūryamārohayan divyaprathayan pṛthivīṃ mātaraṃvi |
3 Ye raised the Sun to heaven by everlasting Law, and spread broad earth, the Mother, out on every side.
10.62.6
सुप्रजास्त्वमङगिरसो वो अस्तु परति गर्भ्णीत मानवंसुमेधसः ||
suprajāstvamaṅghiraso vo astu prati ghṛbhṇīta mānavaṃsumedhasaḥ ||
Fair wealth of progeny be yours, Aṅgirases. Welcome the son of Manu, ye who are most wise.
10.62.7
अयं नाभा वदति वल्गु वो गर्हे देवपुत्रा रषयस्तच्छ्र्णोतन |
ayaṃ nābhā vadati valghu vo ghṛhe devaputrā ṛṣayastacchṛṇotana |
4 This kinsman in your dwellingplace speaks pleasant words: give car to this, ye Ṛṣis, children of the Gods.
10.62.8
सुब्रह्मण्यमङगिरसो वो अस्तु परति गर्भ्णीतमानवं सुमेधसः ||
subrahmaṇyamaṅghiraso vo astu prati ghṛbhṇītamānavaṃ sumedhasaḥ ||
High Brahman dignity be yours, Aṅgirases. Welcome the son of Manu, ye who are most wise.
10.62.9
विरूपास इद रषयस्त इद गम्भीरवेपसः |
virūpāsa id ṛṣayasta id ghambhīravepasaḥ |
5 Distinguished by their varied form, these Ṛṣis have been deeply moved.
10.62.10
ते अङगिरसःसूनवस्ते अग्नेः परि जज्ञिरे ||
te aṅghirasaḥsūnavaste aghneḥ pari jajñire ||
These are the sons of Aṅgirases: from Agni have they sprung to life.
10.62.11
ये अग्नेः परि जज्ञिरे विरूपासो दिवस परि |
ye aghneḥ pari jajñire virūpāso divas pari |
6 Distinguished by their varied form, they sprang from Agni, from the sky.
10.62.12
नवग्वो नुदशग्वो अङगिरस्तमो सचा देवेषु मंअते ||
navaghvo nudaśaghvo aṅghirastamo sacā deveṣu maṃate ||
Navagva and Daśagva, noblest Aṅgiras, he giveth bounty with the Gods.
10.62.13
इन्द्रेण युजा निः सर्जन्त वाघतो वरजं गोमन्तमश्विनम |
indreṇa yujā niḥ sṛjanta vāghato vrajaṃ ghomantamaśvinam |
7 With Indra for associate the priests have cleared the stable full of steeds and kine,
10.62.14
सहस्रं मे ददतो अष्टकर्ण्यः शरवो देवेष्वक्रत ||
sahasraṃ me dadato aṣṭakarṇyaḥ śravo deveṣvakrata ||
Giving to me a thousand with their eightmarked cars, they gained renown among the Gods.
10.62.15
पर नूनं जायतामयं मनुस्तोक्मेव रोहतु |
pra nūnaṃ jāyatāmayaṃ manustokmeva rohatu |
8 May this man's sons be multiplied; like springing corn may Manu grow,
10.62.16
यः सहस्रंशताश्वं सद्यो दानाय मंहते ||
yaḥ sahasraṃśatāśvaṃ sadyo dānāya maṃhate ||
Who gives at once in bounteous gift a thousand kine, a hundred steeds.
10.62.17
न तमश्नोति कश्चन दिव इव सान्वारभम |
na tamaśnoti kaścana diva iva sānvārabham |
9 No one attains to him, as though a man would grasp the heights of heaven.
10.62.18
सावर्ण्यस्य दक्षिणा वि सिन्धुरिव पप्रथे ||
sāvarṇyasya dakṣiṇā vi sindhuriva paprathe ||
Savarnya's sacrificial meed hath broadened like an ample flood.
10.62.19
उत दासा परिविषे समद्दिष्टी गोपरीणसा |
uta dāsā pariviṣe smaddiṣṭī ghoparīṇasā |
10 Yadu and Turva, too, have given two Dāsas, well-disposed, to serve,
10.62.20
यदुस्तुर्वश्च मामहे ||
yadusturvaśca māmahe ||
Together with great store of kine.
10.62.21
सहस्रदा गरामणीर्मा रिषन मनुः सूर्येणास्ययतमानैतु दक्षिणा |
sahasradā ghrāmaṇīrmā riṣan manuḥ sūryeṇāsyayatamānaitu dakṣiṇā |
11 Blest be the hamlet's chief, most liberal Manu, and may his bounty rival that of Sūrya.

सावर्णेर्देवाः पर तिरन्त्वायुर्यस्मिन्नश्रान्ता असनाम वाजम ||
