6.5.1
हुवे वः सूनुं सहसो युवानमद्रोघवाचं मतिभिर्यविष्ठम |
huve vaḥ sūnuṃ sahaso yuvānamadroghavācaṃ matibhiryaviṣṭham |
1. I INVOCATE your Son of Strength, the Youthful, with hymns, the Youngest God, whose speech is guileless;
6.5.2
य इन्वति दरविणानि परचेता विश्ववाराणि पुरुवारोध्रुक ||
ya invati draviṇāni pracetā viśvavārāṇi puruvāroadhruk ||
Sage who sends wealth comprising every treasure, bringer of many boons, devoid of malice.
6.5.3
तवे वसूनि पुर्वणीक होतर्दोषा वस्तोरेरिरे यज्ञियासः |
tve vasūni purvaṇīka hotardoṣā vastorerire yajñiyāsaḥ |
2 At eve and morn thy pious servants bring thee their precious gifts, O Priest of many aspects,
6.5.4
कषामेव विश्वा भुवनानि यस्मिन सं सौभगानि दधिरेपावके ||
kṣāmeva viśvā bhuvanāni yasmin saṃ saubhaghāni dadhirepāvake ||
On whom, the Purifier, all things living as on firm. ground their happiness have stablished.
6.5.5
तवं विक्षु परदिवः सीद आसु करत्वा रथीरभवो वार्याणाम |
tvaṃ vikṣu pradivaḥ sīda āsu kratvā rathīrabhavo vāryāṇām |
3 Thou from of old hast dwelt among these people, by mental power the charioteer of blessings.
6.5.6
अत इनोषि विधते चिकित्वो वयानुषग जातवेदो वसूनि ||
ata inoṣi vidhate cikitvo vyānuṣagh jātavedo vasūni ||
Hence sendest thou, O sapient Jātavedas, to him who serves thee treasures in succession.
6.5.7
यो नः सनुत्यो अभिदासदग्ने यो अन्तरो मित्रमहो वनुष्यात |
yo naḥ sanutyo abhidāsadaghne yo antaro mitramaho vanuṣyāt |
4 Agni, whoever secretly attacks us, the neighbour, thou with Mitra's might! who harms us,
6.5.8
तमजरेभिर्व्र्षभिस्तव सवैस्तपा तपिष्ठ तपसा तपस्वान ||
tamajarebhirvṛṣabhistava svaistapā tapiṣṭha tapasā tapasvān ||
Burn him with thine own Steers for ever youthful, burning with burning heat, thou fiercest burner.
6.5.9
यस्ते यज्ञेन समिधा य उक्थैरर्केभिः सूनो सहसो ददाशत |
yaste yajñena samidhā ya ukthairarkebhiḥ sūno sahaso dadāśat |
5 He who serves thee with sacrifice and fuel, with hymn, O Son of Strength, and chanted praises,
6.5.10
स मर्त्येष्वम्र्त परचेता राया दयुम्नेन शरवसा वि भाति ||
sa martyeṣvamṛta pracetā rāyā dyumnena śravasā vi bhāti ||
Shines out, Immortal! in the midst of mortals, a sage, with wealth, with splendour and with glory.
6.5.11
स तत कर्धीषितस्तूयमग्ने सप्र्धो बाधस्व सहसा सहस्वान |
sa tat kṛdhīṣitastūyamaghne spṛdho bādhasva sahasā sahasvān |
6 Do this, O Agni, when we urge thee, quickly, triumphant in thy might subdue our foemen.
6.5.12
यच्छस्यसे दयुभिरक्तो वचोभिस्तज्जुषस्व जरितुर्घोषि मन्म ||
yacchasyase dyubhirakto vacobhistajjuṣasva jariturghoṣi manma ||
When thou art praised with words and decked with brightness, accept this chanted hymn, the singer's worship.
6.5.13
अश्याम तं काममग्ने तवोती अश्याम रयिं रयिवः सुवीरम |
aśyāma taṃ kāmamaghne tavotī aśyāma rayiṃ rayivaḥ suvīram |
7 Help us, that we may gain this wish, O Agni, gain riches, Wealthy One! with store of heroes.
6.5.14
अश्याम वाजमभि वाजयन्तो.अश्याम दयुम्नमजराजरं ते ||
aśyāma vājamabhi vājayanto.aśyāma dyumnamajarājaraṃ te ||
Desiring strength from thee may we be strengthened, and win, Eternal! thine eternal glory.
